Doug Sarver, MSPT, CMP, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Neural Control from the University of Iowa in 1989 and his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 1991 from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa.

After completing his graduate program, Doug practiced at Centura Rehabilitation in Southern Colorado for seven years, the last two of which he served as the Clinical Coordinator of Outpatient Rehabilitation. In 1998, he relocated to Yakima, WA, to enter into private practice by joining Pro-Motion Physical Therapy, where he worked for eight years.

In 2006, Doug fulfilled his career goal of starting his own private physical therapy practice in Yakima, Washington – Peak Performance Sports & Spine Physical Therapy. After ten successful years in private practice, Doug relocated to Colorado in early 2016 to be closer to his family – especially his two young grandchildren.

While in the Denver Metro area, Doug worked in a variety of outpatient orthopedic PT settings – the last of which he served as Director of PT at Resilience Code. Based on his past experience in building a very successful PT practice, Doug created and collaborated with his eclectic team of health/wellness/fitness providers to help build a thriving clinic catering to a wide variety of patients/clients including current and former collegiate, professional and Olympic athletes. From Spring 2021 to Summer 2022, Doug also evaluated and treated injured players for the University of Northern Colorado Football Program.

Doug moved to Portland in late Summer 2022 in order to continue his passion of providing exceptional Physical Therapy for each patient he encounters.

He has an extensive background in biomechanics, functional treatment techniques, and manual therapy.  He has always focused on continuing education and holds five advanced certifications: Certified Mulligan Practitioner, Certified ASTYM Provider, Full body certified Active Release Techniques Provider, Functional Dry Needling Certified Provider, and SFMA Level 2 Certified Provider.

Outside of work, Doug’s interests include hiking, camping, biking, skiing, and an occasional game of golf. Doug also holds a second-degree black belt in Shudokan Karate and is a level 3 Certified Sommelier.
