Emily was born in Connecticut and grew up in both Singapore and Connecticut. She attended Northeastern University where she received both her Bachelors of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021. After spending 10 years in Singapore and 6 years in Boston, she and her boyfriend have happily moved to Oregon.
Emily was a clinical student for North Lake during her DPT program and is so excited to be back as a member of the North Lake family. Emily’s love for physical therapy stems from volunteering at the Carter School for students with both severe, intensive disabilities and complex healthcare needs. She was able to see how knowledge of the body and the way it moves could help people that couldn’t verbally express their own discomfort or pain. Emily has worked with a wide range of patients with orthopedic diagnoses and is always striving to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. She is passionate about understanding what her patients love and helping them get back to doing it.
Outside of the clinic, Emily has been especially interested in exploring the South East Asian food scene in Portland and hiking in the Columbia River Gorge with her boyfriend, Dylan.
