Jess is a Michigan native, living in the Midwest for most of her life, aside from 8 years on the East coast for high school and the first few years of college. She then returned to MI to receive her BA in Biology and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy both at the University of Michigan. She moved to Oregon in 2010 and has been a PT at North Lake ever since.
Jessica’s clinical interests include orthopedic injuries for all ages, with a passion in treating pelvic and hip instabilities and helping the “everyday athlete” get back to their active lifestyle. Jess has found a skill set through the years in examining and diagnosing movement pattern dysfunctions with an eye for the “micro” compensations. She enjoys looking closely at movement patterns and isolating the small imbalances to lay the foundation for larger functional tasks. In 2014, Jess received her teacher training certification for yoga and often incorporates yoga postures into treatment for patients. She even teaches classes sometimes for the community with a rehab focus and safe return (or intro!) to yoga.
Jess lives with her husband, Ryan, who is also a PT, and their two sons. She enjoys being active, especially hiking and lifting weights, being outdoors, crafting and playing board games with her kids, and cooking.
